Sorry to say that I have not been updating my blog for a very very long time. My blog is not exactly dead…yet BUT I prefer to say that it has been hibernating until I have the inspiration to write again. I am one of those who just could not get herself together to write a new post everyday unlike some people I know *wink wink*
. The way I see it, it takes sheer dedication and some time on your hands to write a good post to attract traffic.
Anyhow, returning here and looking back at my old posts sends a smile across my face. It feels nice to be back again. It almost feels like seeing a long lost friend again
I guess as you all know by now that I will be flying off to Wellington on 8th February 2010. On that day itself begins another significant chapter of my life. As for now, I am spending the last of my holidays preparing myself mentally with the possible changes of weather, environment, culture, food, and people there.
I will be heading to Kuching tomorrow morning and staying there till Sunday afternoon. A good opportunity to visit my relatives and cousins before I go off and a chance to relax, eat, and window shop

Went out yesterday again to Central Square (CS). This time I was on a mission to find a gift to be exchanged during my gang’s 2nd anniversary celebration this coming monday in Village Mall.
Before that, my good pal, Soleha and I went for a detour to Sg.Petani’s train station. I have been here for 2 years already and I still do not know where it is located. Haha. Now I know. It is situated between KFC and the shoe shop near the Clock Tower. My friend bought a ticket because she needed it to go to KL today.
Few minutes at CS later, I decided to treat her to some karaoke. It has been a while since the both of us hang out together. It was an enjoyable session. Syiok! Haha. Among the songs sung were Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You”, Christina Aguilera’s “Come On Over Baby”, Westlife’s “Queen of My Heart” and Backstreet Boys’ “As Long as You Love Me”
Muahaha! Hampir semua lagu jiwang.
After that, we saw a bundle shop on the 4th floor. I have never been in one before. We decided to check it out. Woohoo! I actually got a nice made in korea Tartan jacket for RM8 only. So cheap and so worth it!

Later, we went to the gift shop next to Popular on the 3rd floor. This is where I got this cute little red star for RM8.50. It is meant to be a present for the gathering later.

I knew that it was Soleha’s 21st birthday today 17th July. Happy Birthday, woman! Hehe. I bought her some gifts earlier on but I decided to buy her another one to surprise her. She is currently interested in an anime series, “The Black Butler”. She saw the merchandise but she didn’t know what to choose. She bought nearly everything except ONE. So I ‘lied’ to her with my ‘toilet emergency’ excuse on the ground floor and ran up 3 floors again just to get it for her. Phew! I can’t believe that I just did that. Running up 3 flight of stairs and down again. Bwahaha!
It was well worth it seeing the look of her face
I believe that in order for a person to like the gift you bought for them…you first must like it too ![]()
I could not believe what happened next as well. She gave me this

The merchandise that she bought earlier on. Haha. Indeed it was a happy day for the both of us. Wheeee!
p/s: The author has decided to keep the little red star because it is too cute for her to part with it
Will substitute it for something else.

Went to Central Square with my friend, Izatul. She was quite excited as she heard that there is a Thai fair going on. I was quite eager too considering Thursday afternoons are usually fun and relaxation time for me.
As usual, whenever there is a SALE, there would be LOTS and LOTS of people. Too bad I can’t snap some pictures of the fair because I didn’t bring my camera along. Everything is an at affordable price. Here are some of the things that I bought…
These are voodoo dolls which is kinda of a craze for quite some time now. One costs RM3. I bought two for RM5. There are a variety of designs as well. Very cute.

I managed to buy a shirt that costs RM 10. The white blouse has small cute prints on it. When I tried it on back in my rum, I felt that it was quite tight because there was no fitting room to try it on. I guess I could always buy a small jacket to cover the short sleeves or something. Haha. Here are the prints on the shirt…

This dark blue blouse cost me RM29. I like the check prints with its shiny big white buttons. I feel it is worth buying it. Happy happy

Sorry, if the picture is upside down. I’m using QuickPress to post. Just tilt your head to the left
Besides clothes, footwear and small handmade trinkets. They sell a selection of Thai food as well like the sweet dessert, Glutinous Rice with Sliced Mango and Coconut Milk and ALSO the ever famous Tom Yam noodles. Those who are in Sg.Petani, have a fun day out with your family and friends. The weekend is here

I will only update when I’m free. It is just the first week and yet assignments are pouring in like rain. T___T Well, that’s university life. Must be strong and tolerate things that I am not in favor of.

Daddy daddy,
I love you.
You are the ‘glue’
that holds the family together
through sunny and stormy weather.
Daddy daddy,
I love you.
You took care of me when I was small,
Patiently working through it all.
You gave me a roof over my head,
Food, clothes, and a nice warm bed.
Daddy daddy,
I love you.
Years passed by in the blink of an eye,
As I grow up,
time passes by.
You taught me to be strong
in the eye of the storm,
to keep holding on,
when everything goes wrong.
to believe in myself,
and have my own stand.
I am who I am today,
because of you.
so…
Daddy Daddy…
I LOVE YOU!
Here is a song entitled “Father & Daughter” by Paul Simon which is also the soundtrack to Nickelodeon’s, The Wild Thornberries Movie. I have provided the song lyrics below if you want to sing along.
Enjoy and Happy Fathers’ Day
If you leap awake
In the mirror of a bad dream
And for a fraction of a second
You can’t remember where you are
Just open your window
And follow your memory upstream
To the meadow in the mountain
Where we counted every falling star
I believe a light that shines on you
Will shine on you forever
And though I cant guarantee
There’s nothing scary hiding under your bed
I’m gonna stand guard like a postcard
At the Golden Retriever
And never leave till I leave you
With a sweet dream in your bed
Chorus:
I’m gonna watch you shine
Gonna watch you grow
Gonna paint a sign
So you’ll always know
As long as one and one is two wooo
There could never be a father who loved
His daughter more than I love you
Trust your intuition
It’s just like goin fishin’
You cast your line and hope you get a bite
You don’t need to waste your time
Worryin’ about the market place
Trying to help the human race
Strugglin to survive its harshest hour
Chorus: Repeat 2x

I never liked drinking tea in particular. I had my first taste of tea when I went to a wedding reception. Almost everyone had Chinese tea. I usually have F&N Orange or Coca Cola. Don’t know why…but I chose to have Chinese tea. Guess I was curious…hehe. All this while, I thought only the elderly drank tea
It wasn’t until now that I decided to give tea another go. Recently, I took a liking to Pokka’s Jasmine Green Tea. Some may not like the smell of jasmine because it can be overpowering. I like it though. Since I like dim sum and japanese food, tea seems to be the perfect compliment to wash down fatty or oily food
Anyways, here is a green tea commercial
Enjoy!

When I was small, I used to watch lots of cartoons. Among my favourites was Winnie the Pooh. Yes, the cuddly silly old bear that belongs to Christopher Robin. Now, Winnie the Pooh lives in the Hundred Acre Woods together with a few of his good friends.
Let’s see…there is
Piglet
I like this little guy. He is Pooh’s best friend I suppose…because he always sticks closely to him. I think he is a worrywart and a bit of a scaredy cat. Then again, who could blame him for being small. He is cute and pink
Rabbit
He is always busy tending to his vegetable patch. He must have disliked Tigger because he likes to bounce around him. Haha. He can be the most critical thinker in the group.
Eeyore
I think this fellow is an adorable blue donkey. He has a tail with a bow that went missing in a episode once. He is your typical gloomy character with a low drawl. Nevertheless, he is a loyal donkey.
Tigger
Woo hoo hoo hooo! My name’s Tigger. T-I-Double G-ER! This line always cracks me up. He has a special tail that acts like a spring. Boing! Boing! He is the most active toy tiger that I have seen.
Owl
Yep, Owl is indeed a wise animal. He lives high up in a tree house.
Mama Kanga & Baby Roo
They are a happy family of two. Mama Kanga being motherly to Pooh and his friends whereas Baby Roo is a good friend to tiny Piglet.
Here’s a video clip that I think you all will enjoy
I like the part when Pooh was doing his morning exercise and having a pot of honey later.
Pooh would do anything for a smackeroo of honey. Hehe.
Reminds me of someone… *wink wink*
In addition, I bought this handphone accessory for my friend. It is a head of baby Eeyore without a mouth. Kekeke.

What were your favourite childhood programme(s)?

Hehe. I was happy when my friend, May Ling decided to have a meet up. It was quite long since I have met her. I last saw her once during my end of year holidays last year. Yep, it has been a while now. Nevertheless, I would sms her when bored and vice versa
From her text messages, I got to know that she managed to secure a place in Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) Penang. USM is currently in HOT demand. I guess it being the only university chosen to partake in the APEX Programme has something to do with it. Besides that, the university has the right in choosing their own students. She will be doing a Bachelor’s Degree in Literature, minor in Geography/History.
Ok…back to our outing. We decided to meet at Parkson round 9am BUT met some drawbacks. Her bus barely left her housing area and it was already 9am. So, my daddy offered to pick her up at the bus terminal near the Sibu Ferry Terminal. All this while, I thought that she must have packed a few pounds from the way she talks about her body.

Lo and behold! She wasn’t fat like what she said after all. In fact, she looked slimmer hence taller. She looks like a Chinese right? Well, she is actually half Chinese and half Iban
When we arrived at Parkson, most of the shops were still closed. We went round in circles….up and down the floors…Finally, KFC was open. Yeah! Brunch! Both of us hadn’t had any breakfast yet. It was her turn to ‘belanja’ me
I chose the Snack Plate, Hot and Spicy version while she chose the chicken rice with drumstick. We both had F&N Orange.
After loitering around more shops, she received a call from her mum, asking her to go and meet her uncle to know when he would be free to send her down to Kanowit tonight. She said that her uncle works in the Dae Sim electronic store. We got lost for a while because she said that the shop was in between shops that sell cloth and other sewing material. We walked a good distance more. Her uncle’s shop was located near the night market. Bwahaha. That was quite an adventure for me
Since Sarawak Plaza was nearby, we decided to catch a movie. May Ling wanted to watch Terminator Salvation. I wasn’t a big fan of the previous Terminator movies so far. Was it because of Arnold Whathisname?
My friend invited me to watch with his gang but I just was not interested at that time. Kakaka…perhaps a lead actor would change my mind. This time it was starring Christian Bale, who also starred in Batman, The Dark Knight. The price was RM5 per ticket. The movie was supposed to start at 1pm so we had 30 minutes to spare. We decided to head down to Premier and do some window shopping. She wanted to buy some comfy shoes to wear when in USM so we surveyed the potential ones
We met our ex-teacher from our secondary school as well. That was nice to see a familiar face after being away and all.
I had to admit that Terminator Salvation is a worthwhile watch….even though I am not a Terminator fan. I think this movie must have something to do with the Sarah Connor Chronicles in AXN. This is because John Connor was her son in the movie. His mission was to find and rescue a teenage Kyle Reese;who was supposed to be his father, the key to his past, present and future. He was leading a hidden army called Resistance against Skynet. Halfway through the movie, he found out that there was a new species of robot; with human features including a heart. John was skeptical whether the machine, Marcus deserved to be treated like a human being and be trusted.

The lines that I find most memorable was said by Marcus at the end of the movie, “The difference between humans and machines is that humans have a heart. Everyone deserves a second chance”.
Later on, May Ling went to buy her shoes and we headed opposite to Singapore Chicken Rice. I had some fried chicken ‘wantans’ or dumplings while she ordered a plate of chicken rice, a plate of baby kailan and tofu with fishballs in oyster sauce.

As for drinks, I had the Teh C Special and she had the Green Jasmine Tea with milk and cincau

This was definitely a fun experience for me. We hope meet each other again soon:D

First of all, I would like to apologize to my readers for not posting anything for the last few days. This is due to the LOUSY connection of my Celcom Wireless Modem. Ironically, this modem is supposed to be faster than my dad’s.
Have been diligently trying to connect my modem but somehow…it still doesn’t work. Seeing my dad able to go to Youtube and Facebook just makes me even more stressed out
Perhaps the reason it is currently a school holiday contributes to this problem as well. Internet users are getting younger these days…
Now, who says advancement in technology is a good thing?
I think it just creates MORE PROBLEMS and makes us become MORE DEPENDENT on it.
With the absence of a wireless connection, I decided to catch up on my reading.
FYI, if you think that I am studying during the holidays, you’re so wrong!
Trying to shake off my competitive “kiasu” nature
Realised that my life not all about getting a string of As only.
So, I have been…
1. Rereading some of my novels
2. Watching the telly
3. Laughing and talking nonsense to my parents
4. Smsing my friends
5. Stuffing myself before going back to SP and starve.
Anyway, here is Panic at the Disco’s newest song, “Northern Downpour”
I like it because the lyrics are quirky. The chorus is pretty catchy as well.
Enjoy
